Finite/Infinite is a solo dance theatre piece that explores philosopher Soren Kierkegaard’s ideas about pure individuality in relation to the finite and infinite. The soloist begins lost in the finite with a rigid identity that is safely defined. When she suddenly loses this construct, she is thrust into the infinite. In the infinite, layers of possible realities all appear equally viable and everything she thought she understood about the world is challenged. Through contemporary dance and an all-encompassing balloon art installation, the Soloist embarks on a kinetic and metaphoric journey to the existential self.
Included in all ticket sales is a $2.00 'Fringe Festival' fee.
